With Venus and Mercury shifting gears, and Halloween adding a heavy dose of magic, the 2018 Leo Waning Moon invites us to surrender to the mystery, and conjure connection with the invisible, says Jennifer Racioppi …
Waning Quarter Moon // October 31 2018 // 12.40pm ET // 8 degrees Leo
With the 2018 Leo Waning Moon happening on the day the veil between worlds is the thinnest, we can expect things to feel fun, with a heavy dose of spooky.
How apropos for the Scorpio Sun squaring playful Leo? Meanwhile, with Venus Retrograde still in full effect and simultaneously in direct opposition with Uranus, unleash your desire to change your identity (dress up anyone?) Enjoy the mysteriousness of the day …
///
// The Cycle // The 2018 Leo Waning Moon serves as the midpoint between the hunter Taurus Full Moon, and the upcoming Scorpio New Moon on November 7th. This critical turning point of the lunar cycle asks us to let go of what’s no longer working while simultaneously bringing outcomes to seeds planted with the August 2, 2016, Leo New Moon.
Check-in; what’s coming to fruition now that connects to dreams set in motion and actions taken then?
///
// The Transits // With Venus retrograde moving into Libra, and Mercury moving into Sagittarius, our spiritual world may feel impacted. Especially with Venus opposing Uranus, an astrological configuration that often suggests a change in a relationship (perhaps even an ending).
Today’s transits ask you to go with the flow and roll with any abrupt switches in direction. Additionally, given that it’s Halloween, there’s real opportunity to connect with the other side via ceremony and prayer (and your inner witch).
///
// The Square // With the Sun in sultry Scorpio squaring the Moon in light Leo, we have a classic case of water (Scorpio) vs. fire (Leo). While we all know that water can extinguish fire, let’s not forget that when the two combine we get steam, too.
My suggestion? Aim for steam. Lean into Leo’s natural optimism and ability to magnetize joy. Even with abrupt changes afoot, allow yourself to feel lighter through the release of what’s no longer relevant.
///
// The Opportunity // Today offers the strong potential to conjure, create, and align, while paying homage to those who have passed away. Even with Venus opposing Uranus, a transit that connotes the need to release what’s no longer working, you can sincerely connect with your spiritual self.
If something, or someone, exits your life today, let it go! And allow the depth of who you are to shine through. Then enjoy the night of play!

The Venus-ruled 2018 Taurus Full Moon wants us to open our hearts, forgive where possible, and find pleasure in the process of smoking out old patterns, says Sandy Sitron …
Full Moon :: October 24th, 2018 :: 12:47 pm EDT :: 1 degree Taurus
Two crows are silhouetted in the moon light. Are they fighting or are they dancing? As they peck at each other they each seem to vie for authority. But then suddenly, their heads and beaks curve toward each other to form a perfect heart shape.
On the 2018 Taurus Full Moon, the Scorpio Sun and the Taurus Moon face off. Not unlike the crows, these two luminaries are performing an ancient dance of tension. It’s hard to say if this is a dance of aggression, or a chance to settle into the peace and harmony of love.
Symbolically, the ancients believed the crow to be a harbinger of death. In more modern interpretations, the crow means change. Release, purging, letting go, metamorphosis and rebirth are all symbolic of the crow and also the sign of Scorpio. This season is urging you to molt and release.
In my vision, the crows are dance-fighting and forming a heart at the same moment. There may be moments during this Moon phase when you look at yourself or someone you’re close to as an enemy. If you misdirect your aggression it can leave you feeling hollow. Slow down. Pinpoint where resentment is rooted. This is a good time to forgive (if it’s safe) and let go. If you can open up your heart with self-awareness and acknowledge the true source of your pain, you’ll feel better.
Your knee-jerk reaction CAN be peace. Even if that’s not your usual speed, let this Moon teach you about patience. Taurus is the emotional style that we can emulate now. Taurus teaches us body-awareness, simplicity, appreciating beauty in all forms, patience, and slowing down.
Enjoy the present moment by noticing how your body feels as you move through your day. This practice will keep you grounded and centered. Maybe that feeling of centeredness will give you more space for love. Practice giving and receiving heart-to-heart hugs. Slow down when you eat. Sprinkle rose petals on your oatmeal. Investigate the patterns of bark on a tree.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, and this planet of love and peace features prominently in the Moon picture. She’s retrograde, so she’s calling on us to review our own personal love stories. Her retrograde cycle is drumming up issues of reciprocity and trust in relationships. Fun!
Plus, in this formation, she’s opposite the Moon as she cuddles the Sun in Scorpio. Maybe she’s saying, “Get pleasure from deep emotional catharsis and let that give you the stillness you need to be present in the moment.” Stay attuned to what you need to let go of. This mega-release will give you more space for Taurean peace and harmony.
The sky is filled with planets in fixed signs. We are collectively contacting the deep marrow of our lives, our relationships and our societies. We’re unearthing any rot in our foundations. The 2018 Taurus Full Moon is conjunct Uranus, the planet of change and revolution. We’re getting into the deep, old stuff now and blasting it open.
But there’s a lot of work to do and this change won’t happen overnight. We can chip away and make changes slowly. We can make time and space for each other.
With this fixed sign energy heightened, this is not a moment to flit around changing the channel and succumbing to the media cycle. Instead, we must dedicate our attention and continue to consistently raise awareness of the gunk that has got to go. Let the crows carry it all away. With a heart shape indicating Taurean love and peace, they have all the patience in the world to help us transmute our old pain.
The crow symbol can remind you that even with all of this purging and releasing— there’s magic around you. Take this time to honor the magic of Mother Earth, your body and the here and now. And notice the magic of the death and rebirth cycle. Ask yourself what you’re ready to let go of so that you can move into a new phase …

Moon opposite Venus Knocking over a canoe. Everything is wet and soggy with this aspect, now that the canoe is knocked over. There may be some emotions flowing. Encourage that. You can let it all hang out. There’s no more need to try to be perfect or precise. Be as graceful as you can, but real too. Your challenge is to open up your heart, be vulnerable, and let yourself receive.

Moon trine Saturn A club sandwich. That sandwich its stacked high and it has a nifty toothpick holding the whole thing together. And these layers of meat, bread and cheese are oh so real. What are you building that’s real? This aspect will help you find the organization and structure to make it happen. The sky is the limit.

Moon conjunct Uranus Dragging your feet across shag carpeting and getting a shock of static electricity. A slight jolt is needed. This is time to change things up. Shock yourself into a new wavelength. Do it on purpose, as in the symbol. Put on big woolen socks and drag your feet along that olive green carpeting in Great Aunt Neecy’s living room before you touch the metal doorknob. It might hurt a little, but it might blow your mind and be hilarious too.
Intensified by powerhouse Pluto, the 2018 Libra New Moon wants us to sit with challenging emotions, tend to deep-rooted wounds, and embrace release through conscious healing, says Sandy Sitron …
New Moon :: October 8, 2018 :: 11:47 pm ET :: 15 degrees Libra
A droplet of rain rolls slowly off a leaf and lands in the shadows below. The sun comes out and the leaf quickly dries. But the water that has pooled in the shadows remains.
The symbolism reads: just become a tiny puddle. Find your spot in the shade and wait. While you’re there, feel your feelings and heal.
This New Moon is in the sign of balance, and the Moon and Sun are making a square to Pluto, the planet that symbolizes grief, loss, letting go, healing the past, and rebirth. This is an emotional New Moon, but in air sign Libra, it’s an intellectual time as well. Tending to your feelings will help you make room for new ideas.
Letting yourself go through the phases of grief will support your ability to speak your mind, say what your boundaries are, and communicate diplomatically with those who have different viewpoints. This air sign New Moon can help you verbalize and communicate your emotions.
Because this is a New Moon, it’s a time of germination. A chance to plan the future. While you’re resting in your emotional puddle, tucked away in the shadows— pinpoint what you want. What are your intentions for fairness, harmony, balance, healthy relationships, and open communication?
The balance that is developing will feel like fresh air after a thunderstorm. But the first step is to slow down and sit quietly with what you’re feeling.
Remember that somewhere along the way, it’s important to face challenging emotions. The Plutonian wound is festering. This New Moon invites us to perform a sacred purge. The only way to move past this moment in history is to push right through. We must sit with the wounds. Let the emotions move. Let the emotions flow. Release. Burn it up. It will take time. This is a cathartic process of healthy release.
Heavy healing. We don’t always want to do it. But here we are, working with personal and collective wounds to move through and come out the other side. Pluto’s symbols are the Phoenix rising out of the ashes, the butterfly coming out of the cocoon and the snake shedding its skin. We can move through this phase with the resilience of a Phoenix, the grace of a butterfly, and the wisdom of a snake. The cycles continue and change is wonderful.
The heaviness of this moment will soon funnel into action and activism because of an upcoming t-square between Uranus (change), Mercury (clarity), and the North Node (purpose). So don’t worry, we won’t be sitting in the emotional muck for ever. But sitting here for now can help
Heal as deeply and powerfully as you can. Put your conscious attention on it. Ponder the parts of you that are triggered and asking for support. What kind of support do you need to rally, so that your inner child feels safe? Imagine your healing happening on a cellular level.
As this is an intention setting time, keep part of your vision trained on what you are creating. Mark some intentions. Visualize what you want to see when the healing is complete.
///
New Moon Trine Mars A fire ball. An important part of this New Moon story is the energizing jolt that comes through its trine to Mars. Drive, enthusiasm, motivation. Where does this energy want to go? Let it help you integrate your healing and impassion your speech. Having energy can help you feel that you can get through whatever needs to be done. This aspect offers a dose of spirit.
New Moon square Pluto Sharpening a stick until it becomes a spear. Getting yourself to sit down and do the work of emotional healing may be a challenge. The Moon and Pluto are square, which is an aspect that requires practice before it can be mastered. Repetitive, steady effort is required. Keep chipping away and soon the stick transforms. Eventually, you’ll break through into a new shape. Look at whatever is happening in your life and notice where persistence may be the answer.

The fired-up 2018 Aries Full Moon wants you to balance honesty with grace, banish victim consciousness, and take a clear, conscious stand for what’s real, says Sandy Sitron …
Full Moon :: September 24 2018 :: 10:54 pm ET :: 2 degrees Aries
A chariot is pulled by a team of horses. The horses are driving forward at breakneck speed. The momentum builds. The pounding of hooves could start an avalanche.
The horses signify your spirit. You are here to make your mark. Drive forward. Do something. Make decisions. Take action. The question is, are you driving or are you getting carried away?
When emotions kick in, who’s in the driver’s seat? Will your feelings prod you to react with the power and speed of ten horses? Fast reactions often end with saying the wrong thing or burning a bridge.
If instead you can combine speed and drive with gracefulness and balance, you’ll be able to reach higher heights in you relationships, work, and your understanding of yourself.
On every Full Moon we are given the challenge of working with two opposites. Our goal is to create awareness of the whole. Aries teaches self-fulfillment, drive, and action. Libra teaches of the relationship between self and others, deliberation, and balance.
There are challenging aspects at this Full Moon. It’s time to stand up for yourself and, if it’s appropriate, others. Say the things that need to be said and set those healthy boundaries. Take an inventory. What has been left unsaid? What needs resolution?
Be honest, loving and kind. And be firm. The Moon represents the emotional reaction. Since the Moon is in Aries you might find your reactions are fired up, quick, and hot. The goal is to strike the balance and find diplomacy. Don’t let those horses run away with you. Be wary of getting carried away.
The horses halt in a field of blossoming flowers. This is a moment to celebrate the things that are blossoming in your life. Celebration is a ritual for honoring the emotion happiness. Happiness doesn’t always get noticed, so its important to take time out for it. Celebrate yourself and give gratitude.
And take action today! (That’s an Aries thing). Do something glorious that helps you feel alive. The horses eat only the blossoms and leave the rest.
Ingest beauty. Find your inner harmony and pay attention to the things that you consume. Center yourself from within. This will take time and attention and luckily, you have all of Libra season to steady the scales. This Full Moon in Aries may push you to emotional extremes, so it’s especially important to take the time to center yourself.

You are not a victim. If you don’t learn how to deal with the thorns, you’ll never get to smell the sweetness of the rose.

Full Moon conjunct Chiron A wilting violet. There is a note of sadness. The wounds are your best teacher. Give yourself the best hug you’ve ever had. You deserve to know that you are beloved. There is a lot of tenderness at this Full Moon. Slow down long enough to feel it.

The 2018 Virgo New Moon invites us to attend to the divine details, relax into the deeper rhythms of change, and honor ourselves so we can better serve the world, says Sandy Sitron …
New Moon :: September 9 2018 :: 2:02 pm ET :: 17 degrees Virgo
When we live life through the filter of Virgo, we learn that many small parts make up the whole. Here is a platter of tiny take-aways. Spoon-fed digestible bites …
The sun glints off the handle of a metal walking stick.
Take pride. Stand up straight. Embody your solar fire and stay in movement. Your assertive and incessant motion will help you spiral around the mountain, straight to the top. This is the season of service. Although you are able to be of service, you mustn’t be bashful. You are here to share your offering at the altar.
What is the altar that you are currently tending? To be able to tend to the altar, you must honor yourself and have pride. Do the work you are here to do and stand tall.
A hidden metronome. At this moon you can time your life to a hidden metronome. Even if the patterns and cycles are changing around you, there is a deeper rhythm. Connect to it. The trees can be your guides.
Everything is changing and you are making adjustments. But below this reality there is a steadiness. The seasons always return.
Handfuls of walnuts. Walnut halves look like lungs. Breathe in and breath out. The focus is on health and nurturance. What small thing can you do about your daily routine?
Honor yourself. Do good, healthy things for yourself. Self-care will become magnified because of the Moon’s sextile to Jupiter. Your ability to be of service expands because of the practical and caring actions that you take.
Virgo season is all about the details. The squirrel is obsessed with every tiny nut. But the squirrel would die without also preparing for the winter. Find the larger cycle. Connect to the big picture. Zoom in and zoom out. Use your sixth sense to tune into what’s really important.

Moon opposite Neptune Eating flowers.
This is a moment to draw a straight line between your daily work and your dreams. What will help you can bring these two things closer together? Eating flowers still seems like a magical thing. A thing that you shouldn’t be able to do. But you can. You can feed yourself on beauty. Your everyday world can be sustained by magic. You just have to synthesize.
Moon sextile Jupiter Honey pots.
Mmmm … can’t get enough of this sweetness. The potential to magnify and attract abundance is present. This sextile can help you transcend. Open your heart to everything that’s possible. Open yourself to how you want to feel. Because the moon is in Virgo, focus on self-care and organization. This will put you in a positive mindset and raise your vibration. Expansive results will follow.
Moon trine Pluto Converting your engine to run on vegetable oil.
There’s a transformation on deck. Can it be sustainable? Can it make your world a better place? This is a supportive aspect between Pluto, the planet of deeply fixed emotional patterns, and the Moon, the signifier of your emotional flow and emotional intelligence. These two in harmony can help you cry the tears that got stuck in the past. They can be midwives of catharsis. Bathe in their supportive waters. Cleanse and change your patterns. Upgrade.

The 2018 Gemini Waning Moon asks us to cleanse, clarify, and use honest assessment to clear the decks for a new cycle, says Jennifer Racioppi …
Waning Quarter Moon / September 2 2018 / 10:37pm EST / 10 degrees Gemini
As La Luna wanes back to new, she travels through Gemini and makes a 90-degree angle to the Virgo Sun. This point in the monthly lunar cycle asks us to check in and consider what’s served its purpose and is ready to be laid aside as we begin to train our sights on our next lunar manifestation.
With Mars now direct, and Saturn also about to station direct on September 6th, we currently find ourselves with exceptionally productive potential. And with the Gemini Waning Moon’s ruler, Mercury, now direct and finally clearing his shadow at the time of the Quarter Moon, we have the green light for communications of all kinds.
Following the cosmic challenges of the past eight weeks, this could feel like a welcome relief! The Gemini Waning Moon not only marks the halfway point between the Pisces Full Moon and the September 9 Virgo New Moon, but on a deeper level, it asks us to make sense of all the places we’ve been before we begin to move forward …
///
//The Cycle// While this Moon marks the halfway point between the recent Full and upcoming New Moons, it also marks a culminating moment going back over two years. Think back (or actually look in your cal or email inbox) to June 4, 2016, when we experienced a New Moon at 14 degrees Gemini. This New Moon seeded what we are seeing come to fruition in our lives now.
Choices made then have profoundly informed where we now find ourselves. Who was in your world? Where were you situated? What were you working on? And what intentions from June 2016 are coming to fruition now? What do you still want and need?Spend some time considering the connection between your present-day reality, and events of June of 2016. Acknowledge the chapter that’s closing, and the fresh beginning you are about to step into with September 9th’s Virgo New Moon.
///
//The Transits// With Mars and Mercury now direct, and Saturn about to station direct too, forward movement is upon us. However, Venus, the planet ruling love and beauty, stations retrograde on October 5th.So pay close attention to what’s emerging now, as the Gemini Waning Moon foreshadows the Venus Retrograde curriculum.
With Mercury currently in a sextile (supportive aspect) to Venus, and Neptune opposing the Sun and squaring the Gemini Waning Moon (more challenging energies), moments of discomfort could birth intuitive hits about the lessons in love and abundance that you’ll be gifted during the upcoming Venus Retrograde.
///
//The Square// Mercury rules both Virgo and Gemini, and these mutable signs tend to live in their heads so you could feel a wee bit mental during this Moon. But rather than living in your head, capitalize on the Gemini influence and journal. Think back to 2016, and consider what choices you made then that influence where you are now. If needed, make lists. Be mindful of rumination. Then get out of your head and into your heart.
///
//The Opportunity// The Gemini Waning Moon is closing an old chapter. So give yourself time and space to appreciate where past challenges have brought you to today, and let your head lead you back to your heart. Getting honest with yourself about your exact wants and desires now will also support you as we move toward next week’s Virgo New Moon. It’s a special one, so you want to be READY!

As practical earth energy meets deep emotional waters, the 2018 Pisces Full Moon invites us to let intuitive waves wash us onto solid, new shores, says Sandy Sitron …
Full Moon // August 26, 2018 // 7:56am EDT // 3 degrees Pisces
When a tidal wave washes onto the shore, it changes the landscape. Seashells and debris from the ocean floor are deposited, while the old familiar spaces are rearranged. Boundaries between land and water blur.
On Sunday, August 26th, the watery 2018 Pisces Full Moon strikes a pose opposite to the Sun in earthy Virgo. Earth and water meet. The result offers a choice.
Do we float out into the emotional stratosphere and avoid reality? Conversely, do we get so caught up in our practical needs and mundane existence that we repress our feelings—viewing them as only a hindrance to productivity? Or do we build our earthly lives in alignment with our feelings and intuition?
A Full Moon is an opposition. Two opposite signs are illuminated—Virgo, representing compartmentalizing and organizing, and Pisces, showing us how to dissolve the boundaries.
During Virgo season we have an opportunity to solidify our earthly base. To get grounded. Organize, cleanup, structure, and rearrange. We can streamline and refine our workflows. We are called to take care of our bodies, to connect with nature, and to appreciate the moment. We make ourselves of service. We get to work. We focus on the task at hand.
And yet this weekend there is an offer on the table. An invite has landed on your doorstep to take a ride on a tidal wave.
If you accept, you’ll have to let go and surrender to emotion, while trusting somewhere in the back of your mind that your Virgoan preparation has created a solid enough container for you to completely let go.
Taking an emotional journey can at moments feel like you are being tumbled under water. Butmaybe you can catch the wave just right and crest high above the horizon line like a surfer. The emotional wave can bring freedom. A new intuitive perspective is available. When we are guided by our intuition, we can break into surprising new territory. The grind begins to feel like flow.
However, it can be hard to go with the current if we feel inherently unsteady. While drifting in the Pisces sea of feeling, Virgo energy can help us stay rooted in the moment. The key is to stay attuned to the body. Pay attention to your physicality and your breath. Meditation is the ultimate tool for at this 2018 Pisces Full Moon. Through attention to the micro (breath and body) the part of you that is pure consciousness can flow into the macro Piscean realm of heightened awareness.
There’s a lot of momentum to this Moon, as it forms a kite with the Sun, Uranus, and Saturn. The energy of a kite takes the solid base of the current earth grand trine (Sun in Virgo, Saturn in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus, all at 2 degrees on 8/26) and pushes it into flight. The push is toward emotion and intuition. What have you been building? What are you refining? And now, how do you want it to feel?
This momentum can help us build lives that are fully in alignment with our feelings and intuition. Our empathetic understanding of ourselves as part of something greater. It doesn’t have to happen fast. Nature moves slow. But we can use the energy of this Full Moon to tune into our feelings.
What path will your intuition light up for you? Open yourself to the waves to find out …
///
Full Moon in a kite formation with the Sun, Uranus, and Saturn Walking along a snowy mountain path, close to the edge. You are going somewhere. The outlines of the journey aren’t crystal clear. There are moments when it’s hard to see the exact path, but you are still climbing. If you can look up, past trepidation, you might catch quite a view. Spiritual perspective is available, so nudge yourself toward it.
This perspective might filter in through fantasy and dreams. Ideas could drop in while you’re taking a shower or walking the dog. Let yourself be surprised. Because of Uranus’ influence, the path might take surprising turns. If you follow it without compulsively reaching for the map, you’ll open up space for creativity and change.
Saturn’s appearance in the kite formation is represented by the mountain. You’ve been building something all along. Yes, there are surprises and changes because of Uranus. But you are working with a solid base. The mountain is there. All you have to do is climb and trust your path.

//The Transits// With Jupiter, the planet of good luck and good fortune, in an exact trine to Neptune at the time of the Waxing Quarter Moon, truthfully, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
One of the sweetest aspects of 2018, and which will last through August 23, Jupiter trine Neptune (a water trine) brings deep healing and mystical potential. Further, with Mercury simultaneously stationing direct after a multi-week retrograde cycle, be prepared for your intuition to feel vibrantly lucid. Tap in and listen.
To sweeten the pot even more, Mercury sextiles loving Venus at the same time. Put your mind towards what you want to create. Now is the time to attune yourself to your deepest desires.
///
//The Square// The Sun in fun-loving, fiery Leo, makes a challenging angle to the Moon in penetrative, watery Scorpio, both at 25 degrees. Yet, together, fire and water create steam.
While squares usually suggest curveballs and challenges, this one brings with it a deep sense of playful intimacy. Leo, after all, brings a heavy dose of fun, while Scorpio goes deep. Given the five-star aspects surrounding this waxing square, all signs point to this mash-up bringing a heightened creative and sexual tension that you can feel all the way to the bedroom—whether you’re playing solo or with a partner(s).
In terms of healing, this is also a potent time to dive into your shadow work. The Scorpio Moon won’t let you off the hook, while the Sun in Leo brings the courage to face any demons.
///
//The Opportunity// This Waxing Quarter Moon brings with it an aura of holiness. Use it to get clear on your vision and take time to really commit to your goals.
Sanctify your time in such a way that you have space to digest what it is you really want. Be mindful of your speech. Journal out your difficult emotions. Commit to shining a light into your darkest shadows.
Don’t back down. Take a stand. And with your stake firmly in the ground, have some fun with it! With the Sun in Leo, Mercury stationing direct and sextile Venus, and Jupiter trines Neptune, the weekend has the feel of an astrological holy day. Embrace the intensity and dare yourself to enjoy it!

The 2018 Leo New Moon marks the grand finale of Eclipse Season, and asks us to reignite the passionate fire that has never left us, says Sandy Sitron …
New Moon Solar Eclipse // August 11 2018 // 5:59 am ET // 18 degrees Leo
Orange light streams through a narrow opening in a cave wall. If you’re a brave spelunker, you can squeeze through and retreat into deeper chambers. You reach the core. The temperature rises. Here in the recesses of your subconscious mind, a central hearth fire burns.
It’s a magical fire that burns continuously without emission.
A cleansing fire. The fire of spirit. At this New Moon, you must connect with your spirit fire.
Leo is the sign that encourages you to share your true self with the world. Now is the time to set intentions about creativity, spontaneity, recognition, playfulness, sovereignty, and generosity. All of these themes have something to do with your fire offering. Your connection with your fire will help you make better decisions. It will help you supersede ego and be playful instead.
Before you can share your fire, you have to locate it in the recesses of your inner world. You have to journey deep within and simply trust that it’s there. Believe wholeheartedly in your uniqueness.
Because the 2018 Leo New Moon Eclipse is a time to begin anew, this is a powerful opportunity to reboot. Leo rules the sun. At the eclipse, the light of the sun is partially extinguished.
This is why the fire must be reignited.
Fan the flames of your hidden spirit fire by reconnecting with what makes you feel alive. Reignite your pleasure, passion, and self-expression. Without these themes as priorities, the season loses its glitter and sparkle. Boredom sets in.
Save yourself from monotony. Cure your apathy with creativity. Share your enduring sense of personal worth through creative expression. Kids are connected to the hearth fire within them. It’s what pushes them to continuously look for the next fun thing. They make and play, they’re impulsive and wild.
Journeying through the caves is like wandering through your memory to re-groove a path that already exists. How would your inner child like to express itself? Make changes in your environment and schedule so that there’s room for fun and play.
Burning bright is an ongoing practice. Do it because it’s fun to have fun! And because sharing your fire light with the world is the most generous thing you can do.

New Moon conjunct Mercury Popcorn flies out of the pan. There’s a flurry of mental activity. Some of the popcorn kernels are memories, some are ideas, some are worries, and some just moving thoughts. Which ones will you eat? Putting a lid on the pan and containing some of these thoughts might feel nice. If the heat and pressure are unchecked, you might mentally burn out—which would also cause an emotional flare. So turn down the heat when it’s time. Be gentle with yourself about what comes up. Remember, you are the chef. You’re in control of the whole process.

New Moon square Jupiter Eating watermelon. Juice running down your face. Revel in the sweetness. There’s more where that came from. This aspect can help you expand. If you are going to exaggerate anything this weekend, let it be your perception of sweetness and connection.

Sun and Moon are the focal planets of a yod with Neptune and Pluto The starship dematerializes to travel at warp speed through time and space. The intention is to reach your destination with your enthusiasm intact. A real transformation is available. Transcendence of some kind is beckoning. With the eclipse season crazies in full force, the 2018 Taurus Waning Moon offers a sweet opportunity to pave the road to the future with pure pleasure, says Jennifer Racioppi …
Waning Quarter Moon / August 4 2018 / 2:17pm EST / 12 degrees Taurus
With the crazy summer vibes in full swing, the Taurus Waning Quarter Moon in Taurus asks us to embrace a little luxury. Ruled by Venus, this Moon encourages a deep connection to embodied pleasure.
As we find ourselves at the halfway point between the last Total Lunar Blood Moon Eclipse, and the upcoming Solar Eclipse in Leo, the intense cosmic dance invites a moment of grounded respite. Take it.
Now’s the time to sink your feet into the earth, and get good and grounded, so you can make sense of the changes at play …
///
// The Cycle // This ain’t no average Waning Quarter Moon. Given its eclipse season status, this waning moon cycle asks us to release that which we no longer need, and requires us to look back on our lives to really understand what that may be.
While this Taurus Waning Quarter Moon concludes a chapter that connects to May 2016’s Taurus New Moon, it also comes on the heels of an eclipse that closed a 19 year cycle. Pay attention to lessons, omens, and big changes happening in your life.
The upcoming New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo happens on the North Node of destiny and fate, inviting a new beginning, and initiating a brand new cycle. Let this waning moon cycle support you to surrender, so you can reach out for something new.
///
// The Transits // Coming off the recent square between retrograde Mars and Uranus, the transits surrounding this Taurus Waning Quarter Moon bring intensity. With five planets retrograde, six including Chiron, and Uranus about to station retrograde, the cosmic slow down is real. And with Venus (the ruler of this particular Moon) in an applying square to Saturn, things likely feel hard.
Yet, there are many gifts this Taurus Waning Quarter Moon brings too. Jupiter and Neptune find themselves both in water signs, making a beautiful connection to magic. Neptune sextiles the Moon, while Jupiter opposes it, creating an auspicious opportunity. Meanwhile, Saturn and Uranus make a trine also, adding extra support to this fixed earth Waning Quarter Moon.
As the moon travels through feminine Taurus, focus on what feels good. Use this time to care for yourself and ready yourself for the upcoming solar eclipse (it’s a game-changer!)
///
// The Square // With the Sun in Leo, a fixed fire sign, making a square to the Moon in Taurus, a fixed earth sign, this transit highlights the need for grounded joy. Leo encourages playfulness, and Taurus encourages embodied pleasure. With the luminaries creating a a closing square in two of the most pleasure driven signs, use it to your advantage. Remember that your body is your vehicle for fun!
///
// The Opportunity // Get out of your own way. The past is over. There’s no going back. Instead, set your sights on where you wish to head from here. What do you need to let go of, release, or surrender? How can you get present with what is?
Given that this Waning Quarter Moon occurs in pleasure-driven Taurus, in the middle of Leo season, lead with fun and embodied pleasure. Doing so will open up new potential and support you to feel grounded (this is especially potent amidst all of the recent cosmic change).
Eat delicious food with mindful attention. Get outside and play. Spend time with those you love, and if you can, walk barefoot on the earth. Bonus points for hugging a tree.
Let Mother Earth nurture and soothe. Then get ready for the upcoming Solar Eclipse to blow open new doors of potential …

The 2018 Capricorn Full Moon wants us to examine the containers we’re creating, and question which boundaries liberate us and which merely lock us down, says Sandy Sitron …
Full Moon :: June 28 2018 :: 12:54 am ET :: 6 degrees Capricorn
Turning a key in a well-oiled padlock. You push the metal bars of the gate open. You’ve got the key. You’re in control.
But what is this gate?
Are you keeping yourself locked away in your own cell? Or is this gate a boundary that makes life more manageable?
On this Full Moon, be very aware of the structures and boundaries in your life. A boundary can be a friend that helps keep you safe and get you what you need. There is also the potential that you could lock yourself into a lonely cell of isolation. Don’t wall yourself off. Instead, choose gates and boundaries that support you.
A well-placed boundary can help you conserve your energy. Makes it easy to be clear about each “yes” or “no.” A healthy boundary teaches other people how to treat you, so that you nurture your important relationships and help them become more functional.
An unconscious boundary can form a block that results in isolation or loneliness.
The trick at this Full Moon is to build supportive structures that serve you, while being careful not to fall into despair. Honor yourself and your emotions. There is a strained energy to this Moon. Anything that comes up now is an opportunity to build a new plan. Create a better boundary or structure for the future.
The Moon is full and it lights up everything that needs to be seen. Choose to see yourself. Gaze objectively at the systems and patterns of your life.
Capricorn energy lets you access a more objective viewpoint. At the same time, the Sun in Cancer opens your heart to nurturance and empathy. Don’t let your objectivity override empathy (or vice versa). Use the Capricorn gift of objectivity and the Cancer gift of empathy together. This will allow you to nurture yourself, your relationships, and your dreams.
In challenging moments, what practices and boundaries do you hope to remember? Maybe you’ve already found tools to work with your emotions. That could be as simple as taking a few deep breaths or stepping away for a moment.
Remind yourself that you have structure, a plan, and resources. Consider how you want to respond when your emotions run high. This is when you can be logical, but you needn’t be cold. Edge yourself toward objectivity.
Find the right balance between cool detachment and warm nurturance. Both are helpful in their own way.
>>>
Moon conjunct Saturn Holding up a trophy. Goals. Achievements. Get in touch with them. Where do you want to go? There’s some challenging energy to this Moon. It’s easy to look at the glass as half full. Turn it upside down and use this energy to plan out your win. Begin by giving yourself the structure you need to succeed.
What is your relationship with structure? Did you have too much structure in your life when you were a kid? Not enough? Just the right amount? Are you able to give yourself the structure that you need now to meet your goals and achieve? Envision and plan the life that you want to live.
>>>
Moon trine Uranus Dancing in the rainstorm. This aspect offers a glimmer of surprise. Maybe you’ll totally let loose and dance in the rain. Maybe you’ll discover a new way that you want to respond. Innovate. Shock yourself into a fresh pattern. There is so much creativity available to you now. Harness it. Innovation can set you free.

As we honor the Summer Solstice, the 2018 Virgo Waxing Moon is a powerful pivot point for checking in with your intentions, and recommitting to your true desires, says Jennifer Racioppi …
Waxing Quarter Moon :: June 20 2018 :: 6:50am EST :: 29 Degrees of Virgo
Just one day before the Solstice, (Summer for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, Winter for those below the Equator), the Sun wraps up its stay in Gemini with a 90-degree square to the Moon at the last degree of Virgo.
Virgo, a sign that relates to purity and precision, commands attention to detail. This is the second Waxing Quarter Moon in Virgo in a row—we also had one on May 21st at 1 degree Virgo.
With two consecutive Waxing Quarter Moons in the same sign, the cosmic forces are highlighting a need to integrate lessons of purity and humility. With the Sun about to enter into Cancer, the archetypal mother, this sentiment becomes even more pronounced.
The Sun will reach the very top of its annual cycle with the Solstice on June 21 at 6:09am EST, elongating day or night depending on your location in the world. Regardless of the season in which it occurs, this transition has paramount importance globally.
We have reached the halfway mark of 2018. What has this year brought up for you in the area of integrity and service, and in your daily work? Use this moment to review your course, recommit to your intentions, and devote yourself to the journey ahead …
>>>
//The Cycle// With the Moon at its midway point between the recent Gemini New Moon and the upcoming Capricorn Full Moon, now’s the time to examine your most recent New Moon intentions.
Are your actions in sync with your desires? Are you staying faithful to your dreams? These Waxing Quarter Moons in Virgo ask you to self-adjust on behalf of your devoted intentions. What are you humbly manifesting? Examine at unexpected curveballs with curiosity, and lean into challenges as an opportunity to grow.
>>>
//The Aspects// With Chiron, the wounded healer, opposing the Moon and squaring the Sun, this Virgo Waxing Quarter Moon emphasizes deep soul healing.
And with Mars about to go retrograde (from June 26—August 27), it also emphasizes the need to prepare. The next couple of months bring intense astrological configurations; in addition to this long Mars retro, we have three eclipses and an upcoming Mercury retrograde. Thankfully, at the time of the Virgo Waxing Quarter Moon, there will be a grand trine in water between Mercury, Neptune, and Jupiter. This auspicious alignment offers an emotional gift. So tune into your feelings and choose to fully honor them.
With Mercury perfecting his angle to good luck Jupiter this week, we can expect good news. Venus also conjoins the North Node of fate and destiny at the time of the Virgo Waxing Quarter Moon, indicating that the goddess of love supports you in reaching your highest fate and calling.
>>>
//The Square// With the Sun exiting Gemini and about to enter Cancer, and the Moon leaving Virgo for Libra, this mutable square indicates the need for agility and preparation for change. The seasonal shift coincides with the Sun’s entry into the sign of the crab, after all. Look at this waxing moon as a moment to ready yourself for change. Dig deep and decide what you wish to remain devoted to.
>>>
//The Opportunity// With Mars about to begin his retrograde journey, a transit that will define the upcoming season, take a hard look at your actions. Are they aligned with what you say you want?
Given that the planet of ambition’s retrograde journey happens just a few short days after the solstice, you may notice a lack of drive or commitment to what you say you want. Observe your proclivities. Intervene where necessary. Stay faithful regardless. Make changes that align with your emerging truth. With a Grand Trine in Water helping you, and Venus, the planet of love and beauty, aligned with the North Node of fate and destiny, honor what feels auspicious. Now’s the time to integrate humility and embrace kindness.
Above all, stay true to yourself. Get organized and remain devoted to your intentions, despite any obstacles in your path. Practice gratitude. Be tenacious. Trust that you have got what it takes.

The 2018 Gemini New Moon asks us to leave old mental patterns in the dust, and open wide to adventurous new connections and conclusions, says Sandy Sitron …
New Moon :: June 13 2018 :: 3:45 pm EST :: 22 degrees Gemini
Two strange visions. A small dusty switchboard is one option. The panel can make a finite number of connections. It looks outdated.
The other option is a vast field that stretches out to the horizon. Running across the field are a herd of horses. They spread out across the field. There is so much space to run. They are connected as a herd and they move in unison, but they do so instinctively.
The New Moon is the dark of the moon. A moment to embrace the unknown and open to entirely new potential. We can harness this energy by setting intentions. This New Moon presents some dramatic options. Will you stay in the old mental patterns like the circuits on the dusty switchboard? Or will you free yourself like the horses on the field?
Gemini is your mindset. The New Moon gives you the chance to come up with new additions and developments to your mental framework. If your brain is like a switchboard, the tendency is to run the same old connections. Right now the opportunity is to rewrite some of the code.
The message of this New Moon in Gemini is “strive to understand.”
When you strive to understand, you push yourself, you ask questions, you think about things from new perspectives. Maybe you find a teacher or a friend who can help you reframe a situation. You open yourself up curiously and you let go of an ego need to be right. Seeking understanding that roots down deeper than surface-level will help you break out of the old switchboard and create healthier new habits. This is the time.
Set intentions about how you want to think, communicate, listen and learn. This will help you experience mental freedom.
Put yourself on that vast field, no boundaries, thinking outside of the box. Come to adventurous new conclusions.

Moon inconjunct Pluto An elephant in an English garden.
The New Moon its making an uncomfortable contact with the planet of transformation— Pluto. Think about which old program is ready for transformation. It could be quite obvious. Because the connection between the Sun-Moon conjunction and Pluto is a frustrating inconjunct aspect, it would be naive to expect the transformation to be simple or complete. At this time, the solution might not be forthcoming. Lean into the frustration of not being in control. It’s okay.

Moon square Neptune Trying to siphon the ocean with a straw.
This symbol suggests that there is nowhere to put all of the emotion. You need time and patience. You may want a new perspective that offers emotional respite, but it has to sink in gradually.
With this New Moon square Neptune, your mental framework is shifting on conscious and subconscious levels. Give it time to happen.
Neptunian influence can be tiring. Remember that the message of this New Moon is to strive for understanding. The intentions are to find new ways of thinking. Let yourself be restful and not frantic in the process so that the transformation can sink in on all levels of mind. You don’t have to be in control, but you don’t have to swept away by your emotions either. Envision yourself in a state of spacious mental freedom. Connected with others like the herd of horses on the field, with room to move and exercise your mind.

As the dust from last week’s Full Moon settles, the 2018 Pisces Waning Moon asks us to part the clouds of confusion, integrate the truths that were revealed, and shine a light on our growth, says Jennifer Racioppi …
Waning Quarter Moon // June 6 2018 // 2:13pm EST // 15 degrees Pisces
As you integrate the truth bombs that emerged from last week’s Full Moon in Sagittarius and prepare for next week’s New Moon, the Pisces Waning Moon offers you the opportunity to stand in your truth, while purging and releasing what’s no longer needed or applicable.
What has become illuminated over the last couple of weeks? What truth has the Universe begged you to accept, integrate, and honor? Cultivate your harvest and shed what you no longer need. Then, forge forward.
>>>
//The Cycle//
While this Waning Quarter Moon animates pertinent information relating to the current lunar cycle, it also directly correlates to the Pisces Solar Eclipse that occurred at 18 degrees of Pisces on March 8, 2016. Can you remember the projects you were working on and the commitments you made then? This Waning Quarter Moon brings a conclusion to intentions set then, so keep focused on what’s becoming illuminated!

//The Transits//
The Moon in Pisces conjoins Neptune, Pisces’ ruler, and creates a trine to good luck Jupiter, asking you to honor the growth you’ve experienced and harvest what has come to fruition. With the Moon set to trine Venus in the hours just following, good vibes abound, so tap into them. On the challenging side of things, Neptune also squares the Sun and Mercury, meaning that there’s a high likelihood for confusion if you allow it. Read more about this below …
>>>
//The Square//
With the Sun and Mercury conjoined in Gemini in a tight square to the Moon and Neptune conjoined in Pisces, there’s a potential conflict between the mind and heart. On the lowest, most basic level, this combination breeds ambivalence and lacks precision. However, with Neptune squaring Mercury at the exact moment of this Waning Quarter Moon, an opportunity exists to take things up and octave and sacrifice over-thinking for a more intuitive approach (I highly recommend taking this option!)
>>>
//The Opportunity//
This Pisces Waning Quarter Moon brings a harvest, an opportunity to cultivate all of your hard work and claim your goal. Look back to the March 8, 2016 Solar Eclipse and visit intentions set then to see what’s culminating now. Simultaneously, integrate the truth bombs that went off at last week’s Sagittarius Full Moon and move on from what’s no longer working.
With Neptune in the mix, the truth may feel blurry. Remember that confusion generally means one of three things: 1// You know your answer and are afraid to admit what you know. 2// You are trying to do everything alone and need to ask for help. 3//You are rushing to find an answer to avoid the discomfort of giving things time to evolve.
Ask yourself if any of these explanations might help you to use confusion as a bridge to a more profound truth that exists within.
Leverage your tools; meditation, sobriety, tapping, ceremony. Get grounded and tune into your REAL reality. Your transcendent truth. The ultimate truth: oneness. Then claim what you know, and extend gratitude for the bounty you are cultivating. You’ve worked so hard, you deserve this!

// The Opportunity // After a drama-drenched exit from Aries into Taurus, Uranus aligns perfectly with this Virgo Waxing Moon, inspiring you to lead your most revolutionary life.
