You are in King of Cups for the second month in a row, Taurus babes! It still has some sweet medicine to offer you. Last month, the invitation in this card was to level up, to embrace your gifts of service and step out into the light with them shining. That is still flowing through the energy of your April cycle, and you are still highly encouraged to focus on those aspects of your life. However, the expanded invitation of the month is to not only allow your gifts to come more deeply forward, but for you to fold in more sacred self care time while you do it. To be of service to others requires that we ourselves match that in our own life to have a consistently full inner well.

Without it, there is an imbalance one way or another. With this in mind, consider that the King of Cups has requested an extended masters residency with you, all focused around the delicate balance of service to others and ourselves. If you got a little too burned out or overrun in March, King of Cups will be here to help you do it differently this month. CANCER :: CANCER RISING
Ten of Wands, Rx

It’s a whole new world out there for you, Cancer—if you’re willing to upgrade the way in which you walk around in it. Ten of Wands is typically a “point of no return” card, representing a time in which we must make foundational changes to the way we are currently moving through our lives. This card indicates that something has become unsustainable, and we must transform from the ground up in order to allow for an easier way. This card is all about energy, and very often it has to do with our adrenals and nervous system—it can show up as burnout, overwhelm, exhaustion, anger, or pushing rather than flowing.

It’s not a bad card, but it does flash some powerful signs in front of our eyes that are difficult to ignore. Because you have this card reversed, Cancer, it is unfolding through your month in a much lighter way than it would be right side up. Overwhelm and burnout are less likely this month, although if that’s the case, take care to restore as best as you can. What DOES need to come into play on the wings of Ten of Wands Rx is a little more creativity and transparency around asking for help and assistance when you need it.

It’s not so much that you need to drop any of the wands you’re holding, it’s that you cannot hold them alone anymore. It’s about leveling up, which is excellent news. April might be the month to get a personal assistant if you’re drowning in emails. It might be the time to outsource, to get a babysitter, to say yes to any form of help. The Lovers

The Lovers is bringing some powerful medicine your way this month, Leo. April will truly be a journey of deep inner work for you, inviting you to deepen your relationship to your self love and intimacy. You might do some work with a partner in this energy—you might even meet someone this month, but that will only come if you are saying yes to your soul work, diving deeply into yourself. The Lovers, like Two of Cups, unifies dualities within the self, thereby aligning our life and relationships to the highest frequency. When we are aligned, love can flow in. You are being asked to look openly and honestly at any areas of your life that are not in alignment with your heart. As I mentioned above, this doesn’t need to be limited to your romantic relationships, or perhaps lack thereof. This is about you, about all aspects of your life. Where in your life might you be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole? Are there any aspects of your day to day that are draining the life out of you?

Inquire about this honestly, and endeavor to change it. Look very closely at the underlying beliefs that might be fueling this pattern of misalignment, then set an intention to invite alignment into your life, to drop into a sense of peace and acceptance with what is—no matter how it might look to other people. Trust yourself and your heart. It will unlock many, many doors for you this coming month if you do so.

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles can be a tough card to move through, Sweet Virgo, but it is bringing a profoundly important medicine to you this month. Let’s get one thing out of the way, first thing: you are not going to have a month full of pain and lack, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be bumpy moments within the upcoming weeks. Your job will be to welcome the bumps, honor the contractions, bow over to any experience of grief and fear—you’re in a mastery of contraction this month. Remember: anytime we contract, we are being prepared to expand. It’s something that, as Michelle Sinnette says, we can even get excited about.

We’re being prepared for birth, in some capacity. It is only when we fight the contractions that we stall out in our lives, inadvertently perpetuating the cycle of pain. You have the chance to liberate yourself from a pattern of beliefs around lack, fear, and trust in the Universe this month, all in the energetic invitation of Five of Crystals, or Pentacles. It will require you to choose presence around whatever arises, knowing nothing that can come can be bigger than you.

There might be some anxiety this month around money, family or love. It doesn’t mean that it’s true, but it may come up. There might be moments of fear, of doubt, and of feeling squeezed by grief or pain. Put your ear to the seashell and listen. Let your world expand beyond your current reality by noticing the magic in the details of life. To notice the details you have to be present in the moment. You have to harness the Now.

You may feel drawn to fantasy and escape, but keep bringing yourself back to the mundane. Keep watching yourself stir the soup. This is where you will find the real spaciousness. It exists in simple consciousness.

Sunday’s Virgo Full Moon is opposite the Sun in Pisces. Pisces and Virgo offer us two portals into spirituality. The Pisces portal is outside of the body—it’s “through the veil.” Pisces helps us move outside of boundaries and remember our “boundary-less” soul. We are light and universal love.

The Virgo portal is completely centered in the complexities of the body and life on Earth. To enter the world of spirit through the Virgo portal, one must go into the Now—into the moment. One must be present and centered. To create a stable foundation for this practice, it helps to refine the health of the body and mind.

The 2017 Virgo Full Moon has a lot to teach us. Because these are two mutable signs, we will be making adjustments to improve our experience. Contrast may cause you (or the people around you) to be more self-critical. There is a feeling of “I’ve got to get it right.” By navigating through these feelings of self-doubt and self-criticism, you can find your way to self-love. And you must. You must turn every critique into a declaration of love.

This requires you to listen to your thoughts. And it’s hard to listen to your thoughts if they are coming fast. So slow it down. A meditation practice will help with this. This process is gentle and gradual. Make tiny changes. Although the tone of this lunation is about small adjustments, don’t be surprised if you experience a major healing.

There is a lot of healing energy coming through as Chiron (the wounded-healer asteroid) joins the Sun (essence) and Mercury (mind). All three are opposite the Moon. Healing “Self” will be front and center. How does this happen? Look around for traces of your curriculum. If something pulls at your mind or emotions ask yourself, “is this my curriculum?” Ask yourself: “What is the deeper lesson here?” This may feel transformative, like sanding down an old chair. Small adjustments add up to big changes.

More healing. More adjustments. Polishing and polishing your inner diamond. Letting go. Letting go of control. Why do you need to control anyway? You are safe. You are well. It’s all okay. Let go and move on to a new level. You let go and you move away from ego. The inner diamond is the soul essence that is free from ego constraints.

And there is a little hiccup here. Uranus (the Great Awakener) tugs at the Moon uncomfortably. The Moon is trying to hang in there and do some healing work and Uranus is pulling away saying, “F*ck it. Let’s get out of here! I don’t have time for this! This is too hard!” (Or frustrating, slow, uncomfortable, etc.) This is all fine. It can be kind of fun to laugh at the urge to hit the eject button.

Summary
Get quiet. Guide your thoughts toward the present moment. Slow down the thoughts through meditation so that there is time to remember the point of all this: Love. Look for the lessons, let go of ego, and sit quietly through discomfort. Go through the portal.

Removing your clothes, adjusting the water to the perfect temperature, the sound of it rushing from the faucet … this might be the only solitary time you get all day. Why shouldn’t you make this precious time underneath the showerhead into a personal ceremony?

Ritual baths are all the rage—but can take hours to prep, requiring all kinds of special “ingredients.” Not to mention the time actually soaking it in!

Doubting whether a loofah and a bottle of conditioner can help you create a similarly mystical experience? Consider how water carries energy (check out the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto). Water molecules actually respond to words and music—creating beautiful crystalline shapes, like snowflakes, when words like “love” and “gratitude” are used. Imagine … a waterfall of love in your bathroom!

Water is the source of life itself. Cultures all over the world revere it for its healing properties. 1. Set an intention before your foot even hits the tub. Hold the intention in your mind or say it out loud, and let the water carry your words into the Universe. Take long, deep inhale and exhales as you undress and turn on the water.

Some “Shower Intentions” to get you started: “May I feel stimulated & enlivened.” “May I feel warmth, rest, and rejuvenation.” “May I feel invigorated & refreshed.” Or how about: “May this water wash away all negativity from my day.”

2. Set the mood with some meditative drums or the Acoustic Concentration station on Spotify. Put drops of eucalyptus oil in a small dish in your bathroom—the steam will disperse it and a natural opening happens in the warm water. Yes, your skin actually relaxes! Or try one of my favorite mists, Jurlique Rosewater, or Zum Frankincense & Myrrh, to set the mood.

3. Shift the Routine. If you always start the water and then take off your clothes, try removing your clothes first. Routine lulls the brain to sleep and these small shifts will signal to your subconscious that something special is happening. If you always use a loofah, switch to a wash cloth or sponge. Buy a new shower curtain for a change of scenery.

4. Tune In to the sound of the water. Notice how the droplets sparkle. Where it hits your body first. Is it the curve of your calf, the pebbles of your toes, or the dip of your collar bone?

5. Stimulate Your Senses with texture and smell. Really feel that loofah, the squishiness of it. What color is the soap? Mine’s green—the same shade as pistachios and praying mantises. What things from the natural does your soap remind you of?

6. Receive. Above all, let the water flowing over you help you become conscious of your enhanced ability to receive. Many people have aha-moment in the shower. Open up. Let it in. You may be surprised by your revelations!

New Moon Solar Eclipse :: February 26 2017 :: 10:00 am EST :: 8 degrees Pisces

It is time to clean up and restore before the next astrological year begins. Gather yourself in your center. Honor your emotions. Sit with yourself in a quiet cave and heal. To look inside of yourself for the truth. This is your moment to draw back the curtain and see into your own soul.

As we, the Sun and the Moon, come into alignment, let go of your assumptions. Let yourself see the truth. This is not time for practical thinking. The information coming through now is more like poetry. If you hold a great appreciation for logic, take this moment to feel the spaces between words. Drift a little instead of trying to rigidly hold onto a concept.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse is in Pisces. A new moon happens every month when the Sun and the Moon are at the same degree. When this occurs, the moon looks dark, making it a time for quiet contemplation and healing. It’s a time to set new seeds of intention. When the Moon and Sun are both near a lunar node (orbital plane), a solar eclipse can occur. This happens about twice a year. Part or all of the Sun’s light is obstructed from the Earth’s view (whether or not you can see it depends on where you are located on earth.)

In astrological terms, this configuration creates a massive “reset.” It is time to bring in new energy and a new perspective. With this New Moon Solar Eclipse in the sign of Pisces, we are planting fresh seeds of compassion. We are learning how to heal ourselves and others. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. It holds the experience of all the other signs. The old saying “put yourself in someone else’s shoes,” fits in here. Pisces has walked all the walks. And as such, Pisces energy holds compassion for the entire human experience.

You may find yourself extra sensitive during this time. This can feel overwhelming, so you may decide to slide away from all the feels like a slippery fish. Take notice if you see yourself trying to drown out emotion with any kind of compulsive behavior. Instead, can you just sit with the feelings? The February 10 Full Moon Eclipse in Leo may find us feeling especially excited, even ballsy, as we make decisions that push us into the limelight. Eclipses always connote change and surprises, and this active full moon suggests that this is a change for the better. However, with the lack of earth emphasis, remember to also tread cautiously.

As we begin this new cycle of five regal Leo eclipses (the last on January 21, 2019), tune in closely to see how this first one is impacting your life—it will likely resonate with an aspect of your spiritual assignment for the next two years!

The February 26th New Moon Eclipse in Pisces happens in close contact with Neptune, Pisces’ ruler, making it an excellent moment to set intentions on behalf of your dreams and desires. Allow Neptune to help keep you focused on the artistic and the spiritual, and cultivate grounded discipline through exercise, nutrition, and meditation.

February 2017 is the first of two pivotal months this year (August being the second) that will crack you wide open and bring sudden changes that realign you to your soul’s plan. Eclipse season 2017 is also doubly charged because 2017 is a “1” universal year in numerology, with a strong Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn influence. The combination of all these elements is about sudden liberation and expansion in a karmic way.

Eclipses are game changers for the soul—they speed events up and re-route us if we are veering off track. This soul acceleration is equal parts exhilarating and challenging. They act as pendulums of fate and swing us in the right direction to keep us in line with our soul’s plan. The difficult part comes in because, as humans, we resist change (especially you lovelies with a lot of earth or fixed planets in your charts!) Eclipses have a tendency to touch on our tender spots, aka our pain points, because it often takes getting those tender places activated (again and again) for us to change our story.

Anything is possible during eclipse season 2017—a wildcard cosmic time—so remember that every soul’s story is different, and hang in there, no matter what you’re feeling! While some of us will experience rapid-fire change, others will experience a slower shift and unfolding over the next six months, which is when we enter a new energetic phase and a new round of eclipses in August.

Also, remember that this energy doesn’t have a precise on/off switch. Eclipse energy can start to boil up a month or more before the eclipse date, and the week leading up to an eclipse can be the peak emotional moment for some of us.

Eclipse season 2017 begins with a fiery Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo. No matter your personal astrology, this eclipse is reminding us all to create, live joyfully, be moved by our hearts, and express our creative gifts in a GRAND way! This is LEO we’re talking about, after all!

During a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and blocks the Sun’s light from reflecting on the Moon. The Moon rules our emotions, so when she’s eclipsed she temporarily has no mirror to reflect the Sun’s light. As energetic beings we are also synchronistically cut off from our “power supply” and reintroduced to our shadow side. The energy of a lunar eclipse can stir an internal crisis (that’s often brought about through external sources, especially relationships, which act as mirrors). This shadow work often brings confusion, doubt, and panic to its peak. Fear not: all of this is designed to spur a conclusion, culmination, ending, or decision about something in your life.

It’s a time to let your unconscious take center stage and tap into a side of yourself you’ve pushed down for some time—you’ll feel the shift with every ounce of your being, as if you’re being asked to find your way in the “dark.” Those suppressed emotions may come flooding back in a dramatic way because of the Leo energy. However, the saving grace for this eclipse is that with fire it comes in quickly, and then goes out just as fast!

New Moon Solar Eclipse :: February 26 2017 :: 8 degrees Pisces 

New Moon Eclipses signal new beginnings, but because 2017’s eclipse happens in Pisces, we will be asked to let go of something as well. Pisces is a collective storage house of the past—old karma, old energy, old psychic junk that you’re carrying around in your energy field that is ready to be released with this New Moon.

This particular eclipse is a double whammy—Pisces is ruled by the emotional element of water and the eclipse adds an extra charge to this already sensitive situation. With one foot in the material world and one foot in the spiritual realm, Pisces feels it ALL! She pulls on our heartstrings and pain points like no other sign. Don’t be surprised if you’re feeling quite sensitive for about a week and half before this one as the energy builds.

The key to navigating this eclipse is to stay grounded in your body, no matter how much you feel like you want to escape. Pisces is a master escape artist but this will only compounds any problems later on. Focus on your root chakra and even your sacral—dance, do yoga, send down a grounding cord. Really commit to feeling the feels but letting it move through you without attachment. This will help you remain on the earth plane at all times.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse will act as both a release and the beginning of a new chapter in your soul’s story. You’re being given the opportunity to heal your past lives and psychic wounds so that you can move forward with a new perspective on life in 2017!
