Following a year-long hiatus, we’re back as Numinous Books. Founder Ruby Warrington explains the process behind this evolution, and why she believes books are magic …
As regular readers will know, I put The Numinous on hiatus in July 2019. Since attempting a failed “comeback” in November (which I knew was gonna fail, put which I put us all through anyway!), I have been in even deeper reflection about the next evolution of this platform. A very tired and cynical part of me wanted to just walk away. I was exhausted from the constant churn of maintaining the socials, the newsletter, the podcasts, the blog—and I badly needed to focus on work that actually paid my rent.
We’d had seven good years after all, and what began as a project to help me learn more about the mystical arts, had also done its job, in a way: I had learned enough about astrology to develop my own personal practice, and along the way (surprise!) I found I had begun to heal the hurting, over-achieving “good girl” part of me that felt the constant need to prove myself. A journey that is documented in the three book projects I had also put out, beginning with the release of Material Girl, Mystical World in 2017—with Sober Curious (2018) and The Numinous Astro Deck (2019) telling their own parts of my story.
But also … I’d put so much time, and love, and passion into building this thing. Could I really just walk away? NO. At least … no so fast. And so I sat, and I waited, and I meditated on a question that I have come back to periodically since reading The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks: “What is my zone of genius?”
Hendricks defines the zone of genius as the state in which you get into “flow,” and find ceaseless inspiration as you engage with your natural abilities, rather than those you have leaned and perfected over the years (the latter being your “zone of excellence”). The theory being that the more time you spend in your zone of genius, the more energized, fulfilled, and successful you will be. What I landed on this being for me? Reading. Writing. Words. BOOKS. I’m always surprised when authors talk in interviews about the “torture” of the actual writing process. Not me! Put me in a room with a laptop and a big idea and I’ll be happy for days. I love editing other people’s words just as much, and even enjoy the intricate map-making of finding my way out of writers’ block. In short, making words on a page brings me the kind of satisfaction I imagine farmers reap from harvesting a bumper crop.
As soon as I turned my attention back towards WRITING, it was like the magic magnet effect the manifestation gurus talk about hummed into action. In my burnt-out state, beginning another book project myself was out of the question. But before I knew it, I was inundated with work helping other people craft, write, and edit their book proposals and manuscripts. And able to earn a living from it. By the time COVID came along, I felt like I’d cracked the fucking DaVinci code. I found myself actually getting paid to do what I actually love … with zero pressure whatsoever to look good in selfies or have something funny, deep, or provocative to say on Instagram every day!
Halle-fucking-lujah. I call this “book doula” work, I LOVE IT, and it is currently how I’m spending the majority of my time. Not that I haven’t been working as a writer and editor my whole career—but it’s the words-to-self-promotion ratio that’s shifted. The actual “making words on a page” part of my work (i.e. zone of genius) in journalism, for The Numinous, and as an author, has always been squeezed into the margins until now. The pitching of ideas, hosting of events, and growing of the socials (i.e. constantly trying to prove myself) having taken precedence. Too much time spent on “zone of excellence” shit—now that is what will burn a person out.
As for how this applies to The Numinous? In alignment with this new personal direction, the platform is back as NUMINOUS BOOKS. Ta-da! This is where my year of soul-searching has brought me. And it feels SO RIGHT. A natural extension of my book doula work, this means I am also working with a selection of authors to self-publish their books across this platform—meaning working with them to concept, write, and edit their books, as well as consulting on the design, marketing, and PR process. Each “Numinous Book” will also have its own launch across the Numinous blog, social media, and newsletter. And you’ll be hearing about the first Numinous Books project very soon!
Over the years, The Numinous has been home to so many diverse voices and perspectives on emotional and spiritual wellbeing in the Now Age. As I have also written about here, the fact that much of the deep wisdom that’s being made available to us thanks to the internet also gets boiled down into bite-sized, snackable, and ultimately throw-away chunks of social media “content,” has also never sat right with me. Which brings me back to BOOKS.
There’s a bookstore in Brooklyn called Books Are Magic—a phrase that has spun circles in my head since I first heard it. Because it’s true. Books are also meaningful, impactful, and a slow-cooked antidote to the pace of modern life. You can’t read (let alone write) a book in the time it takes to swipe up. It is the commitment asked of us by reading (or writing) a book that gives it the power to transport and transform us, to shape the way we think, act, and see the world. Reading a book—whether it’s a novel or memoir that allows us to walk in the shoes of the main protagonist, developing empathy for others along the way, or a text that teaches us something profound—is like having a deeply private and intimate conversation with the most essential and always evolving part of yourself. Put another way, books are both our mirrors and our mediums for communicating with our unseen selves.
It’s no wonder dictators and fascists like to burn books—just like they burned the witches back in the day. And it is also an act of resistance that The Numinous will continue to be a home for books and modern mystics alike, to both the “reading” and the “readers” that we turn to for answers when trying to make sense of ourselves and the world. Thank you for being here for it—and sign up for our newsletter and keep following @the_numinous for a bit of both each week.

Gemini or Gemini Rising A locomotive speeds along. This moment is less about decision making and more about your energy level. If you’re feeling scattered, try to stay the course. Have you already put down railroad tracks by making key decisions? If so, it might make sense to keep chugging along. Do things that help you maintain a high level of energy so that you can push through.
Cancer or Cancer Rising Cotton balls. It’s time to buffer. Pack yourself in a protective cushiony material. Make your life more soft and gentle. Does that mean that you need more space? Or time alone? Do you need to surround yourself with only the most caring of friends? Ask yourself what you need and be very self-accepting. You need kindness.
Leo or Leo Rising A ferris wheel. You can be more analytical than usual. Organize your thoughts so that you have a vision for the view you want to see when you reach the top of the ferris wheel. Realistically understand that there will be times when you at the bottom. Reframe this normal rhythm of life so that you are confident no matter what.
Virgo or Virgo Rising Power tools. This is a powerful time as you can reach new levels in your work. If you want to maximize your impact, you might need to rev up those power tools. They are louder and a little more dangerous. When you do that you’ll be playing a new game. Can you give yourself permission to be all that you can be? It’s time.
Libra or Libra Rising A bright light. The sun cuts through the fog. A sudden change in light can be shocking. It’s time to clear away some of the foggy confusion, or stop getting caught up in all the details. Look up. Find your guiding light. What helps you feel purposeful and invigorated? Do those things. Find a new way forward by revisiting your goals.
Scorpio or Scorpio Rising Rain on the surface of the lake. Everything in life has a ripple effect. Journal about all of the ripples that are affecting you now. Are they ripples of emotions from childhood? Or tiny waves of energy from your environment? The more you can feel, the more you can heal, so take off your armor and be present to what is happening.
Sagittarius or Sagittarius Rising Wild horses galloping. When horses run in a herd, they are synchronized. They have to stick together. If you are feeling shut down in any way, remember your important relationships. Who do you trust to lead you in the right direction? You may need more spontaneous play and fun. Find your herd and run together.
Capricorn or Capricorn Rising Sprinkling seeds in a garden. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. There are certain practical things you can do to prepare for your desired outcomes. Seeds need space, water, nutrients and sunlight. You have a few basic needs too. Focus on your health and organization routines and you will reap the rewards when the time is right. It’s simple.
Aquarius or Aquarius Rising Balloons float above rooftops. It’s time to forget about your worries and concerns. Lift off and get up above it all. You are taking things too personally and it’s holding you back from making the best contribution. What lights you up? What do you need to nerd out on? There are ideas and dreams that can get you out of your own head.
Pisces or Pisces Rising A plane lands on a runway. Arrive home to yourself. You have emotions that need to be tended to. You are being called upon for your innate generosity and benevolence. These are gifts that you need to share with the world. But before you can do that, you need to feel stable and emotionally secure. Come in for a landing and welcome yourself back home.
Aries or Aries Rising Cutting down weeds. Nurture your best ideas. You can be mentally sharp right now, which will make you a very good leader. But along the path of leadership you can encounter self-doubt. These thoughts are the weeds. They are ready to be removed. Get all of your best tools ready so that you can spend some time getting your thoughts focused.
Taurus or Taurus Rising Skipping rope. When you jump, you leave the ground and become airborne. In astrological terms earth is practicality and air is new ideas. It’s time to mix some new ideas up into your routines. Change it up. You will still be safe and secure. Notice if there’s anything in your life that is feeling stale and invigorate it with a slightly new approach.

The 2019 Gemini New brings an opportunity to get really clear about where you’re at. Sandy Sitron explains how …
Moon New Moon // June 3 2019 // 6:02am ET // 12 degrees Gemini
You flounder through a hazy field in early morning. Dewy grass folds under your bare feet. Your visibility is low. The smell of soil and flora overpowers. There isn’t anywhere you need to be. But you feel lost because there are no landmarks, just the sweet scent of the cloud that surrounds you.
This story symbolizes what it’s like to try to think clearly during the 2019 Gemini New Moon. In this image there’s no logical pathway that will save you from the mental fog. No breadcrumb trail of thoughts will lead you to a definite conclusion.
Your brain is very active. You may have many thoughts streaming, but they aren’t linear and logical. There is a sense that you need to figure something out, but you are surrounded by fog and indecision. The answers are just out of reach. There are no landmarks or decisions in your sightline.
But what you do have is a chance to change how you talk to yourself. This is a ripe opportunity to be with yourself and hear yourself. Instead of trying to get somewhere in the fog, ask some questions:
– What might help this overactive mind?
– What repeating thought is holding me back from finding a path forward?
– What am I ready to stop worrying about?
At it’s very best, Gemini represents clarity. But the 2019 Gemini New Moon is in a tricky t-square with foggy Neptune and a potentially overzealous Jupiter. So you might think you have a clear idea, only to find that you got carried away in the moment. Instead of rushing forward, slow down and set careful intentions instead. You might choose to set intentions around these Gemini themes:
– Self-awareness
– Curiosity + learning
– How you communicate with yourself
– How you communicate with others
If you are experiencing mental discomfort (aka too many thoughts swirling, lack of clarity), try to remember your values. What is the big picture purpose that can help guide you through the fog? If you are in a mental haze, try to connect with your intuition. Stop trying to “know” and just be. Meditate. It might be an active meditation with lots of ideas clamoring for your attention, but that’s okay.
The way to thrive is to listen to the cacophony of your thoughts without attachment. Enjoy the sensations of your present moment and accept where you are. Give yourself a new breadcrumb trail to follow. Set intentions that will help you think about yourself in a new way. When the fog lifts, you’ll find that you are more clear than you ever were before.
///
New Moon square Neptune A gatekeeper who speaks in riddles. Do you feel stumped by an unanswerable riddle? If so, take your time. If you wait long enough, you’ll find another way to achieve your goal. The riddle is a decoy. Soon, you’ll understand that it wasn’t that complicated. So just wait for the gatekeeper to take a bathroom beak, and then you can walk right past your confusion.
///
New Moon opposition Jupiter A sundial. A sundial can tell the time, but it doesn’t work in the fog. You are being asked to find your own inner guidance that will help you no matter what the external conditions are. To achieve this goal, you have to know your own truth and be motivated by your own values. If you find yourself relying on others for direction, you’ll feel like a sundial in the fog. But if you light up your own path, you’ll always find your way and know where you stand.

Close your eyes and feel the summertime heat building inside your body. Ruled by Jupiter in Leo, the 6 of Wands fuels our desires for fame, fortune, and flair. Coming at us fierce and fiery, the Numinous Tarotscopes theme for June is a collective call to the sustainable success of our personal brands.
This energy urges us to go heart first, no matter the external accolades. Sometimes we’re ahead, sometimes we’re behind, and it’s all part of trusting in whatever bold moves want to come through us in the moment.
What would feel like a gold star for your soul? What does a life well-lived really look like to you? The 6 of Wands hands us the Oscar envelope and allows us to celebrate whatever is revealed.
Read on for the card, mantra, and cosmic audio reading for your sign …
GEMINI OR GEMINI RISING: 3 of Cups Real love is whatever feels real to you.
Happy birthday month, Gemstone! June’s invitation is a rainbow colored reminder to challenge stale storylines and hard-edged concepts—especially in the realm of romance and connection. The “3” is a hungry number, inviting us to swap either/or mentality and go for the whole damn buffet. More than any other sign, you have the capacity to understand all facets of this diamond life. In June, use this kaleidoscopic view to see where you may have been limiting yourself in love. Whether it’s platonic partnerships that are offering up soul-deep growth, or a heartbreak containing bitter medicine, it is all absolutely here to remind you of your capacity to reach out from the inside. And with your ruler, Mercury, traveling through Cancer’s emo waters all month, this is prime time to take these experiences out of your head and bring them back into your body and heart. This notion is rooted in that old adage about everybody being a form of God in disguise. Let yourself be guided by the idea that everyone’s heart is here to connect with you.

CANCER OR CANCER RISING: The Sun Lean into the sweet sensation of separateness.
Think of this month like a clear beach morning in a solo bungalow, fueled by strong black coffee as you look out across your life with a sense of exactly who you are and what you need to do. With the North Node still highly activated in your sign, and powerhouse Mars traveling through it as well, June offers lessons in the concept of individuation, and is a time to focus on your own self-expression. This doesn’t mean you need to rupture relationships or hermit yourself into social oblivion. Instead, start by simply feeling into your “I.” Notice the times when you tend not begin a sentence this way, and investigate the roots of this discomfort. The Sun urges us to become more of the selves that only we can become, which means taking a few risks. What if it was okay that you’re not “for” everyone? In fact, what if this could be a wild liberation? Free yourself from any shame around being different in favor of cultivating even more of your own flavor.

LEO OR LEO RISING: Page of Wands Rx I am ready to return to the original heat source.
Since the start of this astrological year you’ve been exploring the origins of your creative process, and, combining the elements of earth and fire, the Page of Wands wants you to use this month to closely examine how you initiate action and stoke your creative fires. Start by cultivating the capacity to sit with your urges and impulses rather than immediately leaping to lock them down by producing a shiny object. This may feel excruciating at first, but trust that there is deep magic in understanding how to befriend your emotions before they “do you.” Maybe it’s deliberately delaying a project. Or waiting a day longer to respond to a message. These simple acts can be a reminder to take pride of place at the center of your own life. With your ruler, the Sun, traveling through Gemini, you’re being reminded of the spaciousness that can be found by embracing the ephemeral. Watch sensations rise and fall, trusting what is for you never needs to be hunted down.

///
VIRGO OR VIRGO RISING: Page of Swords Rx The slightest shifts can create megawatt expansions.
Ruled by Mercury, Virgo is the sign of responsiveness and adaptation. But when you lose a sense of connection to this natural ebb and flow, you can get stuck in endless nervous analysis. June’s magic medicine returns you to your inherent capacity to embrace constant change, without racing around to immediately make it all better. The Page of Swords always arrives after a long journey through the mental realm, slaying old storylines and staring into the face of the hooks and obsessions that can leave us feeling stuck. From there, it enacts the boldest act of all: it tells the brain to bugger off! With fellow Mercury-ruled shapeshifter Gemini ruling the skies right now, allow the hard packed elements of your life to soften by making very subtle adjustments that feel instinctively right. Your mutable earth sign is connected to the element of sand and you can use substance as your guide for June. Absorb the waters of emotion when they arise. Form yourself into little castles out of the wetness. And then let it all wash away, trusting that you can rise to meet any moment.

LIBRA OR LIBRA RISING: 5 of Swords Being human means taking the highs with the lows.
The “5” cards are all about frictional development, Libra. But before you let that bring you crashing down from your idealized castle in the sky, take a moment to consider what “owning” your own mind might mean. What is the origin of your thought patterns? How much springs from an inner knowing, and how much is reaction? June offers up the opportunity to slip recenter yourself on your own throne. Start by considering what’s “pulling you” right now. There’s nothing wrong with being tugged along, begin by simply noticing what happens once you surrender to someone else’s emotional spin or demands. This month, you are learning to sift through the external buzz and let your own voice rise to the surface. Rather than riding the highs and the lows of other people’s trips right now, focus on your own capacity to steer your vessel, knowing that the journey towards calmer waters might require a little storm-ready self-sufficiency.

SCORPIO OR SCORPIO RISING: Knight of Wands Moving with my desire brings me what I crave.
The Knight of Wands calls you to move through the world as if it were your natural element. Start by exploring the concept of “strut”—what would be the most carefree way of shimmying through your life right now? Maybe you’re holding your shoulders closed in an important conversation about a potential raise. Or keeping your legs crossed on a date when you really would rather open wide to the possibilities. The Gemini Sun forms an “inconjunct” aspect to your sign this month, which presents a profound invitation for integration and understanding. The lesson here is that when you actually prioritize the line of least resistance, you’ll always land on the flower with the sweetest nectar. You are alchemizing sweetness with strength right now. Let it all feel lighter, looser, and fueled by libido, Scorpio.

SAGITTARIUS OR SAGITTARIUS RISING: Ace of Cups Rx Cracking open to the honey is my creative mission.
With Jupiter powering its way through your sign this year, the opportunities for expansion in all directions have been profound—and sometimes this can feel like an overstuffed buffet, where the bottomless urge to load up another plate takes over, whether you’re full or not! And now June asks you to consider how and to what you’re saying “yes” to. The Ace of Cups asks you, quite simply, what you will do with your own beating heart? Will you tone down its drumbeat for fear that your passions are too big? Will you use it to make something that could only be built from your own blood? With the Sun in Gemini this month asking you to consider how you’re received in the world, and a fat Full Moon in your sign on June 17, remember you can create by channeling what’s already in front of you, rather than more and more onto your plate.

CAPRICORN OR CAPRICORN RISING: Queen of Wands I am ready for all kinds of weather.
Take a moment to honor the big and beautiful energies that have graced your life since the start of the astro New Year in March, Capricorn: The Sun, the Queen of Pentacles, Death, and now the Queen of Wands. This cosmic combo has put you through a process of shaping and buffing, inviting you to bow at the altar of your very essence. Now, the Queen of Wands wants you to ask yourself: what witchery am I capable of? This isn’t about imposing your will on the landscape, but about better understanding exactly what kind of spells you’re here to cast. Maybe you’re a person who can walk into a room and change the climate with a smile. Or maybe your medicine is to urge others to wake up to reality. With Pluto, Saturn, and the South Node of the Moon colliding in your sign, it’s prime time to unleash your magic with clarity and compassion, understanding just how much force is in your corner and exactly how to wield it.

AQUARIUS OR AQUARIUS RISING: 7 of Wands My signature scent is a perfume the world needs.
You’ve been traveling close to the ground since the start of this astrological year in March, Aquarius, brushing up against some of the more challenging cobblestones of the Minor Arcana— process that’s been about making things yours through experiential learning. The 7 of Wands comes through this month to beckon you back into your own specialness, with a little “me first” medicine. Feel into where you might be following right now, rather than forging your own path. You usually consider yourself the zodiac’s radical pattern breaker, but what systems are you still operating within? The Sun in fellow air sign Gemini, is asking you to consider the origins of your storylines, and your right to choose your own adventure.

PISCES OR PISCES RISING: 9 of Cups Each wish works magic I can’t even imagine.
You’ve arguably got the corner on cloud life, Pisces, but June wants you to swap out a habit of swinging between checking out and crashing back down to earth. What does the process of staying on track with an ideal outcome feel like? Maybe it brings up fears that you have to make it happen. Or that it will never happen. The 9 of any suit invites a Hermit-like dedication to privacy, urging us to process on our own time. Check in with any secret wishes that might currently be for your heart only, noticing when you feel pressured to unveil your 5-year plan. Can you let whatever is being seeded have its own lifestyle and trajectory instead? With your ruler, Neptune, stationing retrograde near the end of the month, you’re moving towards a new way of working with the concept of hope. Learn to truly cherish what you can’t yet fully see.

ARIES OR ARIES RISING: Two of Cups Rx Nothing inside of me needs to be removed.
Think of June as a time to take emotional inventory, Aries. The Two of Cups is a card of deep communion with pieces of ourselves we may want to purge, and wants you to investigate what parts of your emotional life you’ve been hiding away. When we attempt to compartmentalize these pieces, their voices actually get stronger, demanding to be seen and integrated. What facets of yourself do you feel are in need of “fixing” or hiding? Think of this month as an opportunity to take a long, hazy summer weekend with the pieces of your story you’d rather purge, and learn instead to welcome these parts. What you’ll discover is that inviting these members of your “feelings family” home will hep you to feel more whole.

TAURUS OR TAURUS RISING: Page of Cups Releasing my guard relaxes my soul.
This June, the Page of Cups is singing you the Titanic theme song, Taurus, reminding you that your heart truly does go on and on until you reach the end of this incarnation, and perhaps even beyond! Attempting to shut down or shut off simply won’t work—your urge for human connection will find its way into the cracks no matter what. Being relaxed in your body and soul necessitates a certain degree of trust that life is on your side. Not that nothing will hurt you. Not that you won’t be challenged, stripped down, and stood up. But this energy, and this month, is all about being reminded that when you allow yourself to soften and open you can move with, rather than against, all of the seasons of your life with grace and potency.

The 2019 Scorpio Full Moon sets the stage for some deeply revealing conversations, that will ultimately help you know your worth, says Sandy Sitron …
2019 Scorpio Full Moon // May 18 2019 // 5:11 pm EDT // 27 degrees Scorpio
A full moon is a high energy time. For some, this high energy time can result in low energy. Think of a toddler who is totally spent after a day at the zoo.
For others a high energy time can feel fulfilling. Like riding a stallion toward your wildest dreams while rainbows shoot out of your finger tips. YESS!! Put a pin in the idea that there is a lot of energy running right now, and if you are sensitive to it, you may feel equal parts drained and energized.
When I meditated on the energy of this Full Moon, the image that came through was of walking the plank of an old pirate ship. But when I got out to the end of the plank, the sea disappeared and was replaced by a beautiful garden. I was granted a safe and soft landing in a bed of flowers.
The symbol speaks of the transformational death process of Scorpio, and the steady abundance of Taurus.
During Taurus season we build the garden of our own self-worth. At the Scorpio Full Moon we test that self-worth by making ourselves super vulnerable. We must take the leap into the ocean of emotion and intimacy to discover what we’re truly made of. If we’re lucky, we find a soft landing in safe harbor. But we’ll never know what we have built if we don’t take the risk and let go of solid ground.
What does this mean for you in your life right now?
Discover the meaning of this Full Moon by noticing where you feel most vulnerable. Where do you feel like you are walking the plank? Is it money? Relationships? Your sacred vocation? Somehow, some way, the answer to the problem is going to have to do with self-worth.
In order to grow, you may have to risk confronting some deeper emotion, or have a challenging and intimate conversation. You may have to push past resistance. Clues you are experiencing resistance are worry, fogginess, sleepiness and annoyance. If you notice resistance right now, journal or talk about it. Air it out.
Taurus and Scorpio are slower moving signs. Even though this is a high energy Full Moon, can you slow down? Maybe if you walk the plank slowly (spend a good amount of time with a self-awareness process), you increase the odds that the fertile garden will appear to catch you when you leap.
It is clear that this “walking the plank” metaphor is about transformation. You are letting go of some old stuff. And you are moving toward something new. It might feel somewhat heart-wrenching. Let yourself feel that. And look for the moments of grace that are there to catch you.

Full Moon opposite Mercury Golden haloes and fields of golden wheat. Look for illumination in everything — in the mundane and the spiritual. The mental landscape is currently confusing — we are collectively dealing with overthinking and fogginess mixed in with a couple of bright ideas. The only answer to such a conundrum is to slow it down and practice mental non-attachment. Try to find the beauty in a blaring car horn. Notice the grace and divinity in a piece of gravel. This will help you feel grounded and give your mind a much needed anchor.
Full Moon sextile Pluto and Saturn A red carpet. Walking the red carpet is very different from walking the plank. It’s an honor. A chance to collect an award. To be recognized in some way. This Full Moon has you walking the imaginary plank toward deep transformation. The red carpet aspect helps you remember what you’ve achieved and revel in it for a minute. Transformation and letting go is good and necessary. Honoring what you have built is good and necessary too.
The 2019 Taurus New Moon is an invitation to accept exactly who, and where, you are, and to give your body exactly what it needs, says Sandy Sitron …
New Moon // May 4 2019 // 6:47 pm ET // 14 degrees Taurus
A frog sits motionless. A tiny glistening teacher, poised in the shadows. It moves only slightly, to catch a wandering fly. And then it returns to froggy meditation. Settled and grounded. Present and alert. Waiting without being stifled by a conscious sense of time.
This amphibious zen master holds the message of the 2019 Taurus New Moon: Be present and connect with the abundance that is all around you.
On Saturday May 4th we have a New Moon at 14 degrees Taurus. When the Sun and the Moon line up in the same sign, it represents a cosmic new beginning. This is a chance to set intentions — on a New Moon the soil is very fertile so your intentions can take root and bloom brightly.
The 2019 New Moon in Taurus sets up perfect conditions for you to begin to get settled and present in your body. To be with yourself and love yourself and from that stable center connect with the abundance that is inherent in nature. Instead of seeing the glass as half empty, see the glass morph into a wellspring of continuous potential and life force.
Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, representing the physical body, the container that houses the effervescent spark of life. Placing your attention on the subtle sensations that you feel in your body can help you be more gracious with yourself. Feel the sensation of your socks against your toes. Stretch and breathe deeply. Drink in the sight of a flowering tree. Listen to the spontaneous rhythms of your environment.
The call to action is to create space within yourself to be with yourself. Taurus is the least judgmental of the Earth signs.
It wants you to simply revel in yourself.
Since Taurus rules the body and the senses, start with your physical sensations by accepting your body. Accept what you have built for yourself. Accept your current state of being, whatever it is. From this place of acceptance you can recharge both spiritually and realistically.
Taurus holds stabilizing and receptive energy which says, “You don’t have to do or go or push, you just have to be.” It is from this slow place of simply being that you create the space to receive abundance. There is a balance of action and receiving in nature. When you can create this balance within yourself you activate true pleasure.”
So much of our lives are spent striving. Responsibilities in the world ask you to leave yourself and attend to things that are out there. But that energy will get you nowhere right now. If you try to reach too far out of yourself, you will topple like an overgrown tomato plant! When we are scattered and ungrounded we can’t get much done.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t still have goals. In fact, with this New Moon making a supportive trine to goal oriented Saturn, the wisdom is that the more that you embody your current state of being, the stronger the foundation for your future development. You can get closer to who you want to be by accepting who you are now.
This message is repeated everywhere in nature, but almost nowhere in society. So you will have proactively prioritize self-acceptance. Begin to …
Ask for your energy back.
Ask to become reacquainted with yourself.
Slow down and be gentle with this body that you are now.
Caress this body that you have, attentively.
Be with yourself in a new way.
Meet yourself where you are.

2019 Taurus New Moon trine Saturn A beanstalk.
Grounded and still climbing. How high can the beanstalk climb? Does it ever feel as if it’s gone too far? Does it ever have a build up of resistance and start procrastinating or self-sabotaging? No. And neither will you. From your secure and stable foundation, you are being assisted. You can climb without fear that you are not enough. Instead, just continue to build upon what you’ve already done. Rather than judging yourself, focus on your dreams for the future. Be grateful for what you have and don’t look down. Just keep going step by step. It can be so simple.
